Michael Andretti has revealed why the Formula 1 teams are reacting negatively to his bid.


The American team joined forces with Cadillac and enlisted the support of FIA President Mohammed bin Sulayem. F1 reacted to the news of the alliance between Andretti and General Motors (which owns Cadillac) with restraint. It is believed that the application is supported by McLaren and Alpin, while other teams are against the expansion of the championship.


It`s about money. Firstly, they believe that this will reduce the prize money by one tenth. But they are also very greedy, thinking that we will lure away all the American sponsors. It`s all about greed and they think about themselves rather than what`s best for the growth of the series as a whole.
