A former Atletico Madrid player criticized the referee for not sending off Dani Ceballos.
The Real Madrid midfielder had a yellow card and committed a foul near his own penalty area in the 71st minute in yesterday`s derby. Referee Cesar Soto Grado did not show the midfielder a second yellow, and in extra time he sent off Atletico defender Stefan Savic, giving him two cards in a few minutes.
Real won 3-1 and advanced to the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey.
How is it possible that Ceballos didn`t get a red card? Scandal! It seemed like we were back in the 80s and 90s.
It`s good that I wasn`t invited to commentate on the match. Otherwise I would have been banned from entering Spain.
