To be honest - yes, I was a little surprised. Despite the very hot weather in Canada, in the race we had no problems with overheating tires. But on the highway in Montreal there is a very smooth asphalt, and almost all turns are slow, so that the tires are not exposed to strong load.
Taking into account the temperature, we expected a little large problems with overheating tires. And at the same time, we had no doubt that in terms of its characteristics, the track would have to fit well the strengths of our car, as it was last year.
At the same time, we understand that on the vast majority of other tracks in such conditions it will be very difficult. And it`s nice to see that our team knows how to take the chance when she receives it, "said Russell.
